Adults experiencing intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, or other symptoms associated with OCD may benefit from a higher level of structured psychiatric and therapeutic support when clinically appropriate.

Admissions & Referrals

Frequently Asked Questions About PHP

Partial hospitalization may be appropriate for adults experiencing mental health symptoms that are significantly affecting their ability to function at home, work, school, or in relationships.

PHP may be considered for individuals who:

  • Need more structure and clinical support than weekly outpatient therapy can provide

  • Are experiencing worsening depression, anxiety, mood instability, trauma-related symptoms, or other psychiatric concerns.

  • Are stepping down from an inpatient psychiatric facility or other higher level of care.

  • Can participate safely in a structured, group-based treatment environment.

  • Have a safe and supportive living arrangement outside of program hours.

The length of PHP treatment varies from person to person. There is no single treatment duration that is appropriate for every patient. From the beginning of treatment, the Falcon team works with each patient to develop an individualized treatment and discharge plan. The goal is to provide the appropriate level of care for as long as it is clinically needed, followed by a planned transition to ongoing treatment and community supports.

Length of stay is based on factors such as:

  • Clinical Needs

  • Severity of symptoms

  • Progress toward treatment goals

  • Safety and stability

  • Response to treatment

  • Readiness to transition to a lower level of care

  • Insurance authorization requirements, when applicable
